About My Clients
Most of my clients are queer and/or neurodivergent. I think the value of having a therapist that holds similar identities to you is huge and greatly reduces the need to educate your therapist on how to empathize with you and understand where you are coming from.
My Background and Approach
My approach as a therapist is to communicate and collaborate with my clients to understand what they need and do my best to support them whatever way is best. I believe therapy should be non-judgmental, supportive, and empowering. I would love to support you as you learn to manage anxiety and depression, cope with life transitions, explore gender and sexuality, understand and learn to thrive as a neurodivergent person, strengthen emotional regulation skills, understand and improve interpersonal relationships, and more. In my practice, I utilize a person-centered approach and draw from Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Play Therapy, and Art Therapy. I specialize in working with queer and neurodivergent populations.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe the value of acknowledging, embracing, and empathizing with my clients and their different identities is of the utmost importance. I am queer, non-binary, and neurodivergent and am committed to provide inclusive and knowledgeable services. I strive for continuous education and improvement in supporting oppressed communities and welcome feedback on my approach to my client’s identities.
