About My Clients
Have you been struggling with intrusive thoughts about the future or past, feeling overwhelmed or out of control? If you have struggled with the impacts of traumas and adversities, asking for help and being vulnerable may not come easy. Trauma can manifest in our day to day as symptoms of depression, anxiety, and PTSD. They can show up in our bodies as headaches, stomachaches, irritability, and fatigue.
My Background and Approach
I work with people struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, and 1st gen/2nd gen immigrant-related stress. I am trained in various evidence based practices (EBP) and use them all to create a tailored treatment approach to help you reach your goals. EBPs include EMDR, CBT, IPT, TF-CBT, and DBT. In session we will explore your beliefs about yourself, others, and the world, your coping patterns, communication style, values, and attachment styles. I provide a safe, authentic, and non-judgmental space to guide you in processing at your own pace. In our sessions I will help you bring awareness to the way current and past stressors are impacting your mind and body.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
LA FIRES: To support those affected, I am offering immediate availability for specialized care, using the ASSYST Protocol (Acute Stress Syndrome Stabilization). This EMDR-based approach is designed to be administered shortly after a traumatic event, either in-person or online. ASSYST helps regulate the nervous system by reducing the emotional, physiological, and mental activation caused by distressing memories or emotions.
