About My Clients
I provide culturally responsive therapy for teens, adults, and couples in Texas and Colorado, with particular experience supporting men and people of color. I help clients navigate anxiety, depression, burnout, life transitions, self-esteem, and relationship concerns. If you feel pressure to stay strong, struggle to express emotions, or feel misunderstood, we will build practical skills and create a more grounded, connected life aligned with your values.
My Background and Approach
With over a decade of clinical experience, I understand how personal, relational, cultural, and systemic factors can shape emotional well-being. My master’s degree in Family Psychology and background in community mental health, psychiatric care, and managed-care leadership allow me to approach concerns from both individual and relational perspectives. My person-centered, trauma-informed approach integrates CBT, ACT, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness, and evidence-based relationship tools. I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach; therapy is tailored to your needs, culture, values, and goals. Together, we will identify unhelpful patterns, develop practical coping and communication skills, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful, sustainable change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My Nigerian heritage and experiences working with people from diverse backgrounds shape my belief that culture, identity, family, and community matter deeply in the healing process. I believe everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and to have a space where they do not have to minimize themselves or explain away their experiences. I value authenticity, compassion, personal responsibility, and meaningful growth. I am especially committed to reducing the stigma surrounding mental health among men and communities of color, where seeking support may be viewed as weakness or discouraged by cultural expectations. My goal is to offer an inclusive, respectful space where clients of all backgrounds can feel seen, understood, and empowered to live in greater alignment with their values.
