About My Clients

People seek out therapy for many reasons including: feeling “stuck,” difficulty expressing emotions, self-acceptance, making sense of our identity or dealing with life transitions. Many of the people I work with identify as: BIPOC, Latin@/e and/or LGBTQ+. Therapy is the place for you to explore and work on it all.

My Background and Approach

My approach may oscillate between being: directive, explorative, goal-oriented, interpersonal, conversational or we may simply share presence together. I use an integrative approach that draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Somatic Experiencing Therapy (SE therapy). Through this approach, we can understand the stories we tell ourselves, explore how our relationships impact the quality of our lives, undo/unlearn the hold that oppressive societal systems have on us, and acknowledge the impact of our generational history that lives in our bodies.
