About My Clients
I am a Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), Gottman trained (Level 1), Prepare & Enrich certified, and a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy. I provide premarital, address marital/couple conflict & infidelities, work on individual needs, such as: Trauma, anxiety, insecurities, communication styles, self-esteem, coping skills, family conflict, peer relationships, depression &/or to simply be.
My Background and Approach
As your therapist, I will prioritize my own self-care so that I am able to hold you in a safe space while offering you respect, empathy, and a nurturing relationship.I will listen with the goal of understanding what you aren’t saying so that we can address everything in between. I will push you firmly, but lovingly, towards self-exploration while challenging you to grow. Along with multiple therapeutic models, I bring my own personal growth experience, 26 years of marriage, mothering four children, and being a survivor of child abuse, to my therapy room. Ultimately, I aim to guide you towards awareness through self-compassion work. I will repeatedly remind you that you already have everything you need to move forward, it’s just a matter of finding it, which we will do TOGETHER.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
You aren’t breaking down, you are breaking THROUGH! We all have a little bit of brokenness from life. I am broken from my own hardships AND yet I am restored from working through my adversities. I have discovered that my feelings of being “too much” or “not enough”, are only temporary. I am hopeful, affirming, present, and authentically real. I have discovered that my past doesn’t define me, it graciously GUIDES me. Yes, I have been wounded and so I can walk beside you as you heal…as you BREAK THROUGH.
