About My Clients

I'm a neurodivergent, disabled TCK with a dark sense of humor, and I often swear in session. I’m deeply empathetic and brutally honest. I especially love working with other neurodivergents, HSPs, spoonies/zebras, and gamers, as well as burners, LGBTQIA+ folx, and anyone who doesn’t fit society’s standard mold. I also specialize in helping people who have been harmed or neglected by the medical system, those with invisible illnesses/disabilities, and those who are still searching for answers.

My Background and Approach

I trained as a Social Worker; I’m well versed in social justice issues and the pathologization of difference. I don't just help clients fix their "broken" brains; I help them see how the world around them is broken, and figure out how to thrive anyway. I use many modalities and have plenty of experience with CBT, but my favorite approach is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), a great therapy with a terrible name. See, it's not about accepting a sucky life or committing to work out; it's about making space for your unwanted thoughts and feelings so they can't control you anymore, and committing to what's most important to YOU (not anyone else). Really, it's about steering more intentionally towards the life you *actually* want to live. I also offer Written Exposure Therapy (WET) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD, CBTi for insomnia, and the Values-Based Integration Process (developed by Heather Morgan) referenced in the popular book Unmasking Autism by Devon Price.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe the single most impactful element of therapy is the client-therapist relationship. As your therapist, I want to create a safe place where you feel comfortable sharing your thoughts openly without any fear of judgment. That means bringing compassion and open-mindedness to every session. It means educating myself about my clients' backgrounds and needs, and striving to ensure every client I see feels safe and heard. If you've tried to explain yourself to therapists before and were met with micro-aggressions or gaslighting, I hope you can find the strength to try again; everyone deserves to heard by someone who is truly listening.
