About My Clients
Therapy is for everyone, whether you’ve experienced a mental health crisis or are just struggling with what life is throwing at you. My clients are students and young adults juggling life transitions and the difficulty of “adulting,” people of all ages navigating personal relationships, and anyone seeking help with better managing the multitude of emotions that can come with daily life.
My Background and Approach
I am a clinical social worker licensed in Maryland and a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Social Work. I have worked with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder (BPD), substance use disorders, and general life difficulties. My approach to treatment is informed by motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and person-centered care and focuses on establishing a strong therapeutic relationship.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Addressing your mental health is one of the best forms of self-care that you can engage in, and I firmly believe that therapy and mental health services should be accessible to everyone. Regardless of anything and everything that makes you unique, I offer an affirming and safe space for people of all identities to explore their innermost selves. In my personal life, I am a strong supporter of the LGBTQIA+ community, the Black Lives Matter movement, and disability rights.
