About My Clients
I use a client centered therapy approach during sessions which is where the client decides what to talk about and where the conversation goes. The therapist offers support and comfort during the conversation and can help the client reach their goals. The purpose of this approach is to increase self-awareness, improve the client's ability to use self-direction to make desired changes, increasing clarity, improving self-esteem, and boosting the client's self-reliance.
My Background and Approach
I have had experience working with at-risk children in the Bourbonnais school district, adults at Safe Families Chicago, children and adolescents with Autism and chronically ill seniors in area nursing homes. I also have had opportunities with supporting at risk individuals receiving assistance from food pantries as well as providing 1:1 counseling for adults with depression. With a compassionate and non-judgmental approach, I create a safe and supportive space for clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. By utilizing a client-centered approach I am able to help individuals identify triggers and create goals with them for a new healthier lifestyle. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or a difficult life transition, I can help you develop the tools and insights you need to move forward.
