About My Clients
Do you wish you had a space to discuss your intersecting identities and the role they play in who you are and the experiences you have? Do you wish to talk about topics that are often difficult to unpack like racism, cisgender-normativity, or trauma? I create spaces for a therapeutic relationship to be formed that centers you, and meets you where you are to discusses the topics you want, when you want to.
My Background and Approach
I use an intersectional, social justice, client centered, and strengths-based approach that is grounded in the unique experiences of each individual. I am fluent in Spanish and English and offer bilingual services. I specialize in working with BIPOC and Latine, LGBTQIA+, and youth clients. I have 5 years advocating and working with crisis call line work for DV, SA, IPV. I have a background in working with youth, LGBTQIA+, and BIPOC especially Latine clients.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe counseling can be for unpacking trauma, as it can also be for daily experiences we face. I advocate for my clients and provide spaces of connection, growth, and compassion in order to unpack past and current experiences. I believe therapy can be a transformational process. I welcome you to bring your whole self by creating a space where you will be met with authenticity and non-judgement. The process of change is a path that has barriers to cross and conversations to get through but the process meets you in the places you are willing and wanting to change.
