About My Clients
My clients represent a wide range from busy professionals, spouses, couples, veterans, trauma survivors, and those in substance use recovery. Trauma seems to explain the majority of mental illness that we experience, including depression, anxiety, ADHD symptoms, anger, and difficulties in our communication. By having a safe landing space to process thoughts, feelings, and stressors, I am confident that you can experience the healing you need to get your life back on track.
My Background and Approach
Over the past few years, I have worked in a community mental health setting working with a wide variety of client types, stressors, and mental health disorders. I received my EMDR training in 2020, and earned my doctorate in January of 2025. I am also a veteran, and had the pleasure of serving in the 101st Airborne Division before becoming a mental health counselor. Because of my own experiences, training, and education, I believe I am well-equipped to provide you with the safety, encouragement, and education helpful to your healing from past experiences, and living life on your terms once again.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that every individual has unlimited capacity that is unfortunately often hindered by difficult experiences that we did not ask to go through. I also believe that various mental health disorders, including PTSD, are not only treatable, but curable. I believe the human brain is set up in such a unique way that even symptoms that have been plaguing an individual for most of their life can be reduced or removed through the process of good therapy. I also believe that healing is a very individualized experience that requires individualized treatment specific to you.
