Psychologist in Dublin, CA

About My Clients

My specialties include grief counseling, relational conflicts, self-esteem issues, all types of life transitions and more. I focus on helping individuals gain deeper awareness of Self through explorations of deeply rooted psychological dynamics. Through the use of dreamwork, metaphor and other depth-oriented, relational techniques, I help my clients increase self-awareness and gain the confidence and skill needed to endure the most challenging aspects of their lives.

My Background and Approach

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me. I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with an emphasis in Depth Psychology, and also a Core Faculty Professor in a PsyD Program, where I teach courses in the theory and practice of psychotherapy. Depth Psychology takes special account of the way we relate to self and other and how certain relational patterns, put into place from childhood, impact our day-to-day experiences. As a depth psychologist, my work is highly relational and focused on cultivating insight and healing through deep curiosity, creativity and tending to the unspoken aspects of the self. I am most interested in the liminal space between the known and unknown. And I hold a deeply ingrained wonder and respect for all that exists in between.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

The human psyche is complex and holds a natural inclination towards survival, healing and growth. I believe that giving voice to the most challenging experiences we face is the first step towards true healing and living a meaningful life. In this way, I honor the emotional, physical symptoms that arise in my clients and allow those symptoms to inform the healing process from the inside out. As part of a first-generation to be born and raised in the United States from Greece, I hold a deep appreciation for the way culture shapes how one stands and lives in the world. The cultural tendency to want to quickly "get over" or turn away from difficult thoughts, feelings and experiences leaves us further disconnected from the self - increasing our suffering. Through deeper connections to self and other we find meaning and hope.
