About My Clients
I work with individuals who feel depressed, anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck in patterns that are difficult to shift, despite their efforts. My approach is recovery-oriented and strength-based, grounded in the belief that with the right support and guidance, healing, growth, and lasting change are possible. I focus on instilling hope and resilience, and on helping clients develop the tools needed to lead self-directed, fulfilling, and meaningful lives.
My Background and Approach
I use an integrative, client-centered approach tailored to your unique needs. Together, we’ll build on your strengths and create a plan that moves at a pace that feels safe and manageable. You won’t be pushed beyond your readiness, but you will be supported to grow with care and intention. I believe honest, calm conversation creates meaningful change—and our work will focus on lasting, sustainable progress. Therapy is a collaborative process, and I strive to create a nonjudgmental space where you feel seen, heard, and respected. I’m trained in multiple evidence-based modalities, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Trauma-Informed Care, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I work with diverse populations and hold space for those navigating identity, marginalization, and complex trauma. My practice includes a 24-hour live answering service for support and accessibility.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing happens in safe, affirming spaces where your full humanity is seen and honored. As a BIPOC therapist, I bring not only professional expertise but lived understanding of the complexities that shape our mental health—racism, systemic oppression, intergenerational trauma, and identity. I work with care, curiosity, and cultural humility, supporting clients from all walks of life, including LGBTQIA+ folks, neurodivergent individuals, and those navigating marginalization. My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and collaborative. Outside the therapy room, I volunteer regularly at community food kitchens—because healing and justice must extend beyond the office. You're not "too much" or "not enough" here. You're welcome as you are.
