About My Clients

I work with individuals stuck in cycles of anxiety and depression and help to uplift them to a new state of being. Often my clients are able to move through life just "fine," but inside they carry burdens of low self-worth, pessimism, fear, self-doubt and self-blame. My clients see positive change over time by increasing their ability to compassionately confront negative emotional states, explore and release trauma, and feel more empowered to inhabit positive points of view.

My Background and Approach

We will focus on where the pain takes us. Your body has its own wisdom and will guide you to the places that you need to heal. Broadly speaking, the strategies that we will use fall into three stages: (1) clarify what you are thinking, feeling and believing, and (2) release what is not supportive and (3) adopt new ways of being that are more aligned with who you are. The tools that I will provide you are all tools that I have tried using myself. I have spent years studying psychology, Buddhism, meditation, self-help strategies and law of attraction. I continue to grow and change in my work because I know my learning will never be done. I always keep in mind that healing in the realm of mental health is a journey which is closely related to our growth as individuals - every struggle contains wisdom and something to gain and learn. My goal is to help you feel more empowered to transform struggle into strength.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that we are always reaching for a new potential and that our growth and unfolding can be a more joyful process. I believe there are endless things to discover and endless ways to create. I believe that although we are having a human experience, we also have a soul or spirit that is always connected to a more pure, positive consciousness. I believe that creating a connection with that part of us helps us to lead happier, more fulfilling lives. I believe that negative emotional states are signals and feedback that something is blocked or unwanted in our system. And that with practice, care, compassion and wisdom, we can steer our mental state into new places that we'd rather be and that feel more aligned with who we are. From personal experience, I've found that self-exploration is satisfying and clarifying but not enough to create change. We also need to learn how to change the energy in our body through parts work, meditation, visualization and surrender/letting go.
