About My Clients
My clients have diverse life experiences and goals. I often meet with people who feel stuck, or who are in a transitional phase of their life. Many clients feel dissatisfied with the relationship they have with themselves or others. Some are worried about thoughts they have, patterns they repeat, or how they react in certain situations. Most are looking for the relief that comes with being honest and okay with themselves.
My Background and Approach
I completed my BAs at The University of Michigan and my MA at The University of Chicago. I have worked in emergency rooms, hospital units, residential treatment centers, and outpatient clinics. No matter where you are on your mental health journey, I welcome the chance to meet with you. During sessions, I want you to feel comfortable enough to be seen, and supported enough to be challenged. I will strive to elicit self-compassion from you, as I see self-compassion as a catalyst for meaningful change. I typically utilize interventions informed by ACT, CBT, DBT, IFS, and SFBT.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I pursued a career in social work because my personal beliefs align with the social work profession's core values: service, social justice, dignity and worth of the person, importance of human relationships, integrity, and competence.
