Hi, I’m Nina! I’m a therapist who brings warmth, curiosity, and a mind–body perspective to helping you better understand yourself.

Student Therapist in New York, NY

About My Clients

I work with adolescents, adults, and couples who may feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in patterns they can’t quite name. I especially welcome queer and neurodivergent clients, including those with ADHD or autism, and people navigating motherhood and other major life transitions. You may be struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, identity, belonging, or feeling at home in yourself.

My Background and Approach

I am currently completing the final year of my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling at The City College of New York, where my clinical training has included working with adolescents, adults, and couples navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, identity exploration, and life transitions. I have a particular interest in working with LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent clients, including those with ADHD and autism. My approach is integrative, drawing from psychodynamic, existential, person-centered, and cognitive-behavioral perspectives. As a certified yoga teacher with additional training in trauma-informed yoga and a lifelong background in dance, I also bring a mind–body lens to therapy. When helpful, I incorporate somatic practices, mindfulness, and attention to the nervous system to support emotional regulation, connection, and a deeper understanding of how experiences are held not only in our thoughts, but in our bodies.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe deeply in the importance of creating spaces where people can feel seen, understood, and free to explore who they are without judgment. As a queer therapist, I value LGBTQIA+ affirming care and recognize the ways identity, belonging, relationships, family, culture, and the messages we receive from the world around us can shape how we come to understand ourselves. I also value neurodiversity-affirming care and approach differences in attention, communication, sensory experience, and ways of moving through the world with curiosity rather than judgment or a desire to “fix” them. My background in yoga and dance has also shaped my belief that our bodies hold important information and deserve a place in conversations about emotional well-being. More broadly, I strive to practice from a place of openness, compassion, cultural humility, and respect for each person’s autonomy and lived experience.
