About My Clients
Nina prioritizes work with children and adolescents ages 6-21 as they navigate struggles around anxiety, depression, transition adjustment, and trauma. She especially enjoys working with queer and trans youth exploring their gender and/or sexuality. She also works with adults who are wanting parenting support
My Background and Approach
Nina's approach to therapy embodies a non-directive approach that regards each child, adolescent, and adult as the expert in their own experience. She aims to help each client get in touch with their body and emotions so together, they can figure out what might be making things feel hard right now. She is passionate about helping her clients connect their lived experiences to the larger influences that may be hampering opportunities for growth. Centering values of fun, collaboration, and exploration, Nina hopes to foster a therapy space for her clients that is both challenging and rewarding. Her own identity as a queer Latinx woman has informed how she approaches therapy through a model of liberatory practices
