My Background and Approach
I became a therapist after working with trauma-exposed and underserved communities—and witnessing how powerful it can be when people feel truly seen and supported. That experience still grounds my work today. Since 2009, I’ve worked in a range of settings—mental health clinics, schools, colleges, and hospitals—supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds and life experiences. I hold a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Long Island University and a Bachelor of Science from Georgetown University. My approach is collaborative, flexible, and centered on your needs. I use a blend of evidence-based practices, including CBT, EMDR, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and person-centered techniques. I truly believe that therapy can be a space where change begins—not because you need to be “fixed,” but because you deserve to feel well and whole. Life doesn’t have to just happen to you.
