About My Clients

Are you in the midst of uncertainty and finding yourself feeling on edge, anxious and overwhelmed? Are you in a transitional phase of life and feeling disconnected from yourself or others? Do you feel haunted by ruminating thoughts that you just can't seem to set aside? Rest assured, you are not alone. There are underlying reasons for your experience. Together we can explore what is happening for you and identify tools for navigating life with more ease.

My Background and Approach

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience working in various settings. My experience as a social worker and psychotherapist has led me to specialize in working with adults struggling with depression, anxiety, developmental trauma, substance abuse, relationship challenges, self-esteem and self-worth issues and adjustment to life transitions (adulthood, career change, divorce, birth of a child etc). I particularly enjoy working with young adults navigating the emotional distress that inherently comes with transitioning into adulthood. My approach to therapy is integrative, trauma informed and humorous when appropriate. My hope is to support you in walking away feeling seen, heard and equipped with the confidence to effectively navigate life's challenges. In sessions, we will spend time talking about what is going on for you, exploring emotions and engaging in experiential techniques.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that every person is born whole with a light that shines within them. Over time and through experiences of deep pain and suffering, that light becomes dim and darkness can block our ability to connect with our intrinsic healing power. Through therapy, we can explore what there is to learn in the darkness so we can reconnect with the light. I believe goodness of fit between client and therapist is extremely important for healing to take place. I am no stranger to the suffering that comes with being alive. I have also felt the incredible joy that is available to us in this life and am passionate about helping people reconnect with or discover that. A bit about me as a person - I am a Latina, born and raised in the Bay Area. I am a mother of 3 in a blended, multicultural family. I enjoy exploring the spiritual aspects of being alive and am passionate about yoga, the ocean and astrology.
