I have expertise treating teens and adults with anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, grief/loss, life transitions, stress management, relationship challenges, self-regulation, social skills, and working with Muslim populations. I have had the privilege of growing up in the Washington Metropolitan area in a diverse environment and enjoy working with people from different backgrounds. Understanding each client's family background and culture is the key to successful outcomes in therapy.
My Background and Approach
I specialize in using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and mindfulness to work with clients for best practices and better outcomes. I collaborate with my clients to achieve their treatment goals. When I treat teens, I collaborate with their parents to work together on treatment goals and progress.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Based on my experience, early intervention is best. If you or a loved one is struggling with mental health issues, it is best to seek treatment as soon as possible for successful outcomes. Therapy is a process that not only treats problems, it also provides an opportunity for self-growth. The skills and tools that clients learn can be life changing.
