About My Clients

Are you feeling stuck, stressed, or anxious? Do you need help to improve confidence or cope with your current life circumstances? Are you going through a life transition (starting high school, going to college, having a baby, getting married, divorce, etc) & would like extra support? I am passionate about working with adolescents, young adults, adults, moms, & families who are working through a life transition, anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, relational struggles, & difficulty connecting.

My Background and Approach

Prior to private practice, I served adolescents in a top eating disorder residential program, Center for Discovery in Glenview. There, I provided therapy for eating disorders, self-esteem, body image, life skills and assertiveness training. I've also provided crisis evaluation and therapy for inpatient care for adolescents and families at Alexian Brothers. Taking the first step to seek out help can feel scary! I strive to create a comfortable, safe, empowering, and creative environment where you can work towards your unique goals. If you want tools to manage stress, improve confidence & be the best version of yourself, I have the passion, experience, & skills to help you live life to the fullest!

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

At Nikkie Evans PLLC we are passionate about creating progress, not perfection. What does that mean? You know that horrible feeling you get in your gut when something hasn’t gone the way you planned it to go? Maybe your school experience hasn’t been all that you imagined it would be. Perhaps you failed an important test. You’re struggling to feel like you fit in. Didn’t get into your dream college. Got into a conflict with someone. Didn’t get the job. Bad first date. Wasn’t the perfect “pinterest mom” for your kids. Feeling like a failure or like you don’t measure up can make us feel stuck. We value progress. Progress allows us to stay present and focused on small steps along the way, rather than the end goal. By focusing on the smaller steps, we are able to enjoy life, even if things are not perfect, because we have a greater awareness of our progress. We will help you to replace negative thoughts with new ways to speak kindly and supportively to yourself.
