About My Clients
My clients are people struggling with feeling of disconnect related to mind and body, either with disordered eating or body image, or those who are struggling in the transition to motherhood, pregnancy, and postpartum, or fertility. I support people with anxiety management, care of self, and body image. I also work with people who are looking for a safe and supportive place to explore innermost thoughts, dreams, and process grief in service of making their lives full of meaning and purpose.
My Background and Approach
The tools I provide are related to building self-compassion and deepening connection with self, others, and nature. We will work together to define your goals, hopes and intentions. For the past 20 years I have been helping people overcome eating disorders, disordered eating, and heal body image concerns. I also work with women on transforming relationship with anxiety and experiencing more peace and calm related to reproductive and perinatal mental health. I am a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist and have a PhD in Depth Psychology. I am deeply committed to holding space for people to explore things like grief, loss, anxiety management, and life transitions. My experience includes a certificate in spiritually-informed therapies. I also have completed advanced training in Perinatal Mental Health and help people who are trying to conceive, struggling with fertility or loss, pregnant, or new parents in need of support and care.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe deeply in self-compassion, inner work, and meditation. I specialize in helping my clients increase their self-compassion and find their own personal path to healing, as well as increase joy and peace in their lives. I believe in Health at Every Size and an Anti-Diet approach to healing one's relationship with food. I work with Registered Dietitians and can connect you with someone who can support the work we do together in therapy. I am a long time practitioner of meditation and yoga and draw on my training in Perinatal Mental Health as well as my own personal experience of motherhood, as a mom of 3, to support other mothers on their journey.
