About My Clients
Many people experience mental health struggles at some point in their life. Mental health battles may vary from anxieties, behavioral, life transitions, depression and stress, all of which can affect our mood, thoughts, and behaviors. We know change can be scary, but we are here to help guide you through those changes in life. While positive change is sometimes hard to identify, we strive to help clients identify positive change that is happening in their lives. PEACE is within YOU!
My Background and Approach
I obtained both my Bachelor's degree in Human Service Counseling and Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health at Wayne State College in Wayne, NE. I was born and raised in central Nebraska in a small rural community. Being able to bring Mental Health services to rural communities is near and dear to my heart. I have 6 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults with behavioral disorders and chronic mental health disorders. My passion is working with children who struggle behaviorally, parents of these children, in addition to trauma work. I am trained in CASI Evaluations, Brainspotting, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I also utilize several therapeutic theories to guide treatment. I work with my clients to build a lasting rapport, identify their strengths, as well as their short and long-term goals. My goal is for you to recognize your strongest, and truest potential, and identify strategies that work best.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I enjoy helping children find positive coping skills who struggle with anger, aggression, anxiety, or children who struggle to express emotions. I also enjoy helping parents find positive parenting techniques to parent angry, anxious, or aggressive children. I have a relational orientation with an ability to work with diverse populations, establishing a strong rapport. I believe it is important to work collaboratively with clients in a safe, secure, and stable environment while empowering each individual to a life filled with happiness. I enjoy spending time with family, friends, and enjoying the great outdoors.
