About My Clients
Nikitha Mattey works with clients ages 12 and older, supporting adolescents, young adults, and adults through life’s challenges. She has experience helping individuals manage self-esteem concerns, anxiety, depression, and school-related stress. While these are her primary areas of focus, Nikitha is open to working with anyone seeking support. She provides a safe, nonjudgmental space and tailors her approach to each client’s unique needs, building resilience and strengthening coping skills.
My Background and Approach
She integrates person-centered, gestalt, psychodynamic, and multicultural frameworks, tailoring her approach to meet each client’s unique needs. By drawing from these perspectives, she fosters a therapeutic space where individuals feel truly seen, understood, and supported. Her goal is to empower clients to explore their experiences, build self-awareness, and develop tools that promote healing, growth, and lasting emotional well-being.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone has the ability to change and grow at any stage of life, and that there are no limits to human potential. Many mental health challenges stem from unhealthy learned behaviors developed over time, which means these patterns can also be unlearned and replaced with healthier, more supportive ones. My approach emphasizes helping clients recognize and shift these patterns so they can regain a sense of balance, freedom, and control in their lives. I am committed to fostering an inclusive, affirming environment for all clients and actively support marginalized communities, including participation in the South Asian community. I also strive to create a space that is open, nonjudgmental, and empowering, where clients feel supported in their growth and healing.
