That’s what trauma has taught you: to stay small, stay agreeable, stay safe. I work with people who are tired of abandoning themselves just to be accepted. In therapy, we’ll work to gently unlearn those patterns, so you can start showing up for yourself — without the shame and guilt you’ve carried for so long.
My Background and Approach
Throughout my career, I have been passionate about providing trauma-informed care to women and LGBTQIA+ folks. I focus on providing personalized, evidence-based treatments including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), mindfulness based therapy and somatic interventions. Therapy is a place to be truly seen and heard, I deeply value my client's lived experiences and aim to empower and collaborate every step of the way. My hope is to help you find your best and most authentic version of you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am continually committed to practicing with cultural humility, honoring each person’s unique lived experience. I am a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and aim to offer a safe and affirming space for every individual. I believe mental health and well-being are a universal right, and that racial equity work and social justice are core components of being competent mental health professional.
