About My Clients
My ideal client is sincerely anyone who is genuinely seeking to find healing, peace, transformation, an awakening, wanting to sincerely better themselves, and/or meet positive goals of any kind. I have worked with a wide variety of populations including adults, teens, couples, and families from many backgrounds and in diverse settings.
My Background and Approach
"You shall know Your truth, and it shall set you free." Let's renew your heart and mind to help you live more abundantly. I have Master's degrees in Counseling and Religious Studies so I can incorporate spiritual guidance into counseling if you would like(completely optional). I also have training in Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) and worked previously as a hospital chaplain which was an incredible experience. I will help you look at yourself deeply and honestly, develop skills and new perspectives to help you change any unhelpful thought patterns, reduce anxiety, and develop new behaviors to help you live a better life. I utilize a variety of techniques in order to help my clients return to the truest form of themselves - happy, accepting, loving, and free. Know that you are not alone in your struggles - we all need help and support to live our best lives. If you need help finding and claiming your voice, I'm your woman. I'll even throw in some humor and try to make it fun.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Personally, I hold to the belief that people are truly good in their core and can truly become better, happier, and freer people with the right tools, sheer honesty and openness, the willingness to make necessary changes, and a non-judgmental, compassionate environment. I utilize many different modes of therapy in my approach according to the needs of my clients. If you are currently struggling with be able to express yourself (to anyone - family, friends, co-workers, spouses, et al.), I can help you learn to communicate honestly, openly, and effectively. I believe in the universal goodness that lies at the heart of good religions. I also realize there's a whole lot of bad religion out there. I can help you heal if you've had a poor experience with religion, and/or I would also be happy to incorporate spirituality into sessions in a manner that could be helpful for you if you would like.
