About My Clients
My specializations include working with neurodivergent (Autism and ADHD) teens and adults, client’s struggling with anxiety or depression due to relationship and interpersonal distress, and young adults/teens and their families. As an LMFT, I enjoy working with all things relationships including: intimate partner distress, relationship problems between teens or adults and their parents, interpersonal personal problems at work or school, and social/communication skills.
My Background and Approach
I would describe myself as very down to earth and use humor, collaboration, and creativity to best support you. I understand that the right fit and the relationship is the most important aspect of therapy and I truly take the time to get to know and connect with my clients. During our first meeting we will get to know one another, I will gather background information about you, your story, what brings you to therapy and what you would like to get out of our work together. Based on that information I will make recommendations using evidence-based treatment methods of different approaches I think might be best suited for you based on your goals, personality, and strategies that have worked or haven’t worked for you in the past. Therapeutic modalities that I use with clients include: Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Self-Compassion, Family Systems, DBT-informed.
