About My Clients
I am passionate about helping people like you learn to deal and cope with these stressors, heal, and feel better able to take on the world! Along with helping people cope with stress, anxiety, feeling down, and depression, I am trained in helping people to understand and manage the impact of past hurts and trauma. While we cannot change what happened to you, we can change how much you feel every day and help you to feel safe and hopeful.
My Background and Approach
I graduated from the University of Kansas with a B.A. in Psychology. I received my M.A. in Counseling from the University of Missouri Kansas City with an emphasis in Couples and Family. I have worked in the mental/behavioral health field for 14+ years with various populations. I use evidence-based practices to help you change your negative or harmful patterns of behavior, thinking, and to achieve personal growth. I tend to use an integrative approach to counseling, combining Person-Centered, Family Systems, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT), and Adoption Competency (TAC) techniques to ensure each individual receives treatment tailored to their specific needs.
