About My Clients
Many of my clients are making it through the days, but each night they are feeling exhausted and emotionally drained. They tend to push through their struggles and appear to get by most days, yet inside they feel worn down, overwhelmed, or unseen. Sometimes they have just gotten used to feeling this way and wonder if it can even be different. One of my passions is working with clients who are seeking therapy for the first time. My Background and Approach
Nicole Johnson is the founder of River Vale Psychology Clinic and has been providing therapy for adults, children, and families since 2008. Her background includes in-office therapy, as well as intensive in-home therapy for families and children, group therapy, day treatment services, and exposure therapy in the community. Nicole has extensive experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and utilizes these approaches in therapy when they match the client’s needs. She also likes to focus heavily on the impact that our mental health and stress impact our relationships. Nicole values a strengths-based approach and prioritizes helping clients access and find their strengths, as well as building new skills to help them manage the difficulties in their lives.
