About My Clients

My Background and Approach
I graduated at the top of my class at the University of Arkansas. I continued my education after my Master's degree with cognitive behavioral training, mindfulness certification, IFS -Informed, DBT, and EMDR certification. My approach to counseling is to be open-minded and understand that every person is unique and needs therapy specialized to their comfort level. As we build rapport and get to know one another, I will work with you to accomplish your therapy goals and utilize the correct approach to fulfill your needs. I have worked with substance abuse clients and continue to offer outpatient substance abuse counseling as well as mental health counseling. I have found that CBT, talk therapy, and EMDR work very well with substance abuse, anxiety, depression, trauma, and feeling stuck in life. I offer online therapy because it is convenient for my clients to fit in therapy in their busy lives, and they can participate at home, at work, in the car, or even at the park!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I use a tailored approach combining EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), mindfulness, talk therapy, DBT-informed techniques, somatic therapy, and CBT to support my clients in achieving their goals. Trained in each modality, I select the methods that best fit your unique needs and situation for effective, personalized care. Our first session will cover your needs, wants, and challenges. We will then set up the type of therapy that will help you achieve your goals. I love helping people move on to the next phase in their lives, as well as going after those dreams they never thought possible. I have encouraged many to get that job they always wanted or move out of their parents' home and be an independent adult. There are so many things we can work on together to give you your best life, and I am here, alert and ready to motivate you to live your best life. I genuinely believe that we can all live many lives and experience more than we ever dreamed.
