I am trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and currently in training to be certified as Trauma Informed. I have also attended many professional trauma trainings throughout my career. In addition, I have experienced and learned to cope with my own trauma from when I was an adolescent.

For the past 3 years, I have researched mindfulness and how to utilize those skills to cope with everyday stress. I teach my students about what mindfulness is and also how it can benefit them. We learn and practice mindfulness skills on a daily basis.

In graduate school, my focus was CBT, meaning my education was surrounded around that. Throughout my career I have attended many professional CBT trainings and I am trained in Trauma Focused CBT.
