About My Clients
My clients are everyday people looking to work through neurodivergence, trauma, shed depression and anxiety, reduce dependent behaviors, improve relationships and move through life transitions. They are motivated, willing participants in meeting their goals and comfortable with online video sessions!
My Background and Approach
I graduated from Rider University with my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and an E.d.S in Counseling Education. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) with the NJ State Board of Marriage and Family Therapy Examiners and a National Board Certified Counselor (NCC). I have additional training in therapies and skills to help you move through a variety of problems using CBT based therapies such as DBT and REBT, Couples Counseling, LGBTQ+ and Culturally Competent Focused Therapies, Gambling/Substance Addictions Therapies, and Life/Vocational Coaching, among other interventions. I work with adults experiencing a wide variety of therapeutic and non-therapeutic needs and goals. As a safe space ally I am here to provide a supportive relationship and advocate for your needs across all personal or cultural identities and expressions. Additionally, I offer supervision to Licensed Associate and Professional Counselors in the state of NJ.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone has the right to equality, acceptance, respect, and autonomy. I am an active supporter of the ACLU, BLM, and Planned Parenthood, as well as the LGBTQ+, kink, scientific, and education communities. Therapy and supervision are not designed to hold people back but to help them move forward in the manner in which they identify is best to meet their needs. By definition, beliefs and organizations that impose limits and segregation on populations, identities, ethnicity, and individuals cannot fit within those parameters. I believe strongly in community and socioeconomic support and programs for underfunded peoples and demographics and provide support to the fight for equality and safety of peoples across the world.
