About My Clients

Do you or your child suffer with anxiety and fears that are getting in the way of living your life? Do you find yourself changing your habits and routines trying to avoid the anxiety but only getting more and more stuck in a situation that isn't working for anyone? Maybe you have even tried to get help in the past, but it didn't really do much. Anxiety can be incredibly overwhelming, but we can teach you tools to more effectively manage the fear and reclaim your life.

My Background and Approach

Drawing from a number of different approaches and the newest research in the field of psychology, I can help design a plan to address your specific needs. I began learning about effective ways to treat anxiety in my graduate studies at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). After receiving my Ph.D., I broadened my experiences in working with autism and ADHD through a fellowship with the Help Group, and I have increased my expertise through participating in extensive trainings with the IOCDF and other groups. In short, I have the knowledge and experience to assess your situation and to help you find new ways to understand and approach your situation. Whether your concern is about yourself or about your child, we can help!

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that all people can change and can find new ways to manage their uncomfortable thoughts and feelings. While we are often doing the best we can right now, there are also usually ways to change and adapt. I strongly believe that therapy should be a partnership between the client and the therapist. I see myself as a coach and a guide, making suggestions for ways to change to meet your goals. I want my clients to understand why I make my suggestions and to feel able to ask questions at any point. I also strongly believe that therapy is a place where you should feel supported, seen, and understood for who you are. I try to create a space for neurodivergent folks to feel accepted, embrace their strengths, and find ways to move forward in their lives. Outside of work, I am an avid video gamer and love connecting with clients over games and gaming!
