About My Clients

I work best with women who are tired of people-pleasing, anxiety, and feeling like they're losing themselves. Maybe you say yes when you want to say no, or you can't remember the last time you put yourself first. I combine nervous system science, humor, and real talk to help you find your ground. No judgment, just practical tools and someone in your corner. If you're ready to stop just surviving and start living more fully, let's talk.

My Background and Approach

I earned my PhD in Biology and spent years teaching the nervous system to future healthcare providers before becoming a counselor. This background gives me a unique perspective — I understand the science behind what keeps you stuck, and I use that to build practical, lasting change. I'm trained in IFS Level 1, the Gottman Method, and Interpersonal Neurobiology, and I'm a certified yoga instructor. I draw from multiple evidence-based approaches and tailor them to your unique brain, nervous system, and lived experience. I don't believe you're broken — you're exhausted from holding it all together. My job isn't to fix you; it's to help you understand yourself with more compassion and less judgment. We'll get curious about the parts of you running the show, build tools to ride big emotions, and work with your body so the change actually sticks. I offer a free 15-minute consultation because I want you to feel sure we're a good fit.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe in the power of nervous system science, the healing that happens in a genuine connection, and that therapy doesn't have to be stuffy or formal. I'm a professor who still teaches because I love helping people understand how their own brains and bodies work. I'm a certified yoga instructor and believe in integrating mind-body approaches. I'm deeply invested in reproductive rights, body autonomy, and LGBTQ+ equality — these aren't political to me, they're human issues. I volunteer with community mental health initiatives when I can, and I'm always continuing my own training because I believe therapists should still be growing, too. In sessions, you'll get someone who's relaxed, honest, laughs easily, swears a lot, and genuinely cares about helping you find your way back to yourself.
