About My Clients
I specialize in providing an active and down-to-earth therapy style to people in mid-life (35-65) who feel disconnected from themselves. Often my clients say they are not living the life they imagined and don’t know why. Their relationships or lack of them or their current career trajectory all just feel off, but they can’t quite put their finger on what’s going on or what to do about it.
My Background and Approach
With a style that is curious, involved, humorous and compassionate, I help clients become more curious about themselves and how to make connections between their life experiences and their current behaviors and feelings. Using talk therapy and EMDR, I work with clients to help them find their voice, reconnect to themselves, and know that there is no shame in exploring who they are. I offer therapy in 3 formats: ongoing (weekly/biweekly), group, and intensive (15-20 hrs over multiple days) so clients can choose the best option for their schedule and budget.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe a major input into how we feel about ourselves comes from the world around us. There are many people in our country who celebrate and promote diversity in people and perspectives. And there are many who are seemingly unable, afraid, or unwilling to do so. My ongoing goal is to do the work I need to do to uncover my own biases that I have been unknowingly taught or unquestioningly absorbed. It is only in doing this that I am able to judge myself and others less and be a person who is not tolerable of diversity but someone who champions it.
