About My Clients
My experience is diverse, multi-cultural, & includes working with clients from many different backgrounds. This includes (but is not limited to) the LGBTQIA community, criminal justice population, those suffering from substance use disorders, those who have experienced trauma, Indigenous populations, inter generational trauma, and individuals who are experiencing anxiety and depression. Feeling stuck, unmotivated, unable to manage your emotions? Let's talk!
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is also diverse, as therapy is not a one size fits all. Over the past 12-years I have been trained in multiple treatment modalities. As well, I have extensive life experiences that allow me to connect with people from diverse backgrounds. My training includes EMDR Therapy, Flash Technique, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness. I have been a certified substance use disorder counselor for 12-years. I hold an AS in Human Services - Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counseling, and both a Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work from Humboldt State University with a focus on Indigenous and rural communities. I have been providing culturally competent care to underserved and vulnerable populations since 2008.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe everyone should have access to quality, safe, affirming care, where they are allowed to express themselves and receive unbiased support.
