About My Clients
There is a crucial difference between "fitting in" and belonging. My clients generally come to me at a time when they feel immense pressure to keep up with appearances, along with having deep rooted beliefs that they are inherently broken, burdensome, or a disappointment to others. Clients find tremendous relief in learning to recognize and challenge these faulty beliefs, as well as a more confident sense of self, giving them an improved ability to connect and feel that they genuinely belong.
My Background and Approach
For over 10 years I have worked to help individuals overcome painful past experiences, reverse self-limiting beliefs and improve healthy interpersonal connections. My goal is to make a positive and lasting impact on the lives of my clients by providing empathetic and effective therapeutic support. Among the core values that drive my work is the belief in the inherent strength and resilience of every individual. My priority is to create a safe and supportive space where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings without judgment and be proactive in their own healing. I am trained and well practiced in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as well as Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) which are highly effective in the treatment of depression, anxiety, and issues related to trauma.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I firmly believe in the power of authenticity. Our individuality is not a flaw to be corrected but a source of strength to be cherished. By embracing our own uniqueness, we not only discover our true selves but also pave the way for others to do the same. Because of this, my counseling is not a "one size fits all" approach. Your individual experiences, beliefs, talents and interests are your powers that we will draw from to help you to find fulfillment in yourself and get the most out of life. When I’m not working, I love spending time with my beautiful wife, Skylar, and my dog, Puff. I also enjoy songwriting and music production, board games (especially Scythe, TI4, Lords of Waterdeep and Rising Sun), traveling and ultra running!
