About My Clients
I serve the communities in which I live using in person office based and video conferencing services. My background combines mental health, addictions counseling and sex therapy with the unique needs of the LGBTGEQ+, consensual non-monogamous and kink/BDSM/leather communities. I especially enjoy working with relationships using Emotionally Focused Therapy. I have signed the GALAP pledge and offer free and pay what you can assessments for gender affirming care.
My Background and Approach
Counseling is provided using a blend of humanistic approaches. When working with relationships I am trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy. When working with gender diverse folks I practice from an informed consent approach. Overall my work is based in justice and equity, making every effort possible to remove the power from the therapy room.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have been working in the behavioral health community for close to 25 years with experience in both direct care and administrative over sight capacities. I do my best to provide a warm and comfortable space where I can support you in becoming your most authentic self. I take pride in meeting folks where they are at and creating space that is both validating and challenging. I do my best to ensure the space we share reflects my values of of social justice, inclusion, anti-oppression and community service.
