About My Clients
I have a special interest in working with veterans, police officers, firefighters, first responders & their families at a reduced cost. I hold a Diplomate status with The American Academy of Traumatic Experts and continue to develop skills specializing in trauma for mind-body healing.
My Background and Approach
As an Integrative Therapist, I utilize numerous theories of human functioning and psychotherapy based on developmental research. Integration in counseling refers to the bringing together the whole person- affective, cognitive, behavioral, physiological and the spiritual dimensions within each individual. Practicing Strength-Based Therapy, understanding one's core beliefs then bridging the gap between where you are today and your best self. Helping clients reduce and eliminate traumatic memories, automatic negative thoughts and rumination, patterns of self-defeating behaviors, and subconscious mechanisms is the primary goal.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I incorporate Brain-Based Therapy and Practical Neuroscience to improve attachment, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and mindful practices which result in faster results than just traditional talk therapy. Conveying compassion and warmth, while treating your most vulnerable information as sacred is what you can expect. My areas of expertise include post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), trauma, Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), life transition, grief/loss and therapist consulting.
