About My Clients
If you are grieving, have anxiety or have been through trauma if can feel very hopeless and isolating at times. Grief, anxiety and trauma are things that most people do not understand, when I work with clients, I help them feel seen and heard. This is your experience and you are the expert of your life. Together we create goals that feel achievable to gently move you from where you are to where you want to be.
My Background and Approach
I am certified in grief and anxiety counseling . I am also trained in Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy (EMDR). When working with clients I find that it is most effective to pull pieces and parts from all of these methods of therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone has the ability to change and grow at any time in their lives. I also believe it is easier to create change when you have someone there to listen and help. When awful things happen in life we either bury it down deep or let it control our lives. By doing this it makes us feel powerless and small and can cause more damage. In my experience when clients work to process their feelings and learn to cope in healthy ways, they feel more in control of their lives and live a more peaceful life.
