About My Clients
My clients are individuals and couples who want to feel more connected, confident, and understood. Many are navigating trauma, relationship challenges, or identity shifts and are ready to do the deeper work of change. They value honesty, reflection, and a therapist who balances warmth with direct feedback. Together, we turn insight into meaningful growth.
My Background and Approach
I help individuals, couples, and families navigate trauma, intimacy struggles, and relationship conflict with clear, compassionate, evidence-based care. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 17+ years working in outpatient, hospital, forensic, and correctional settings. I blend systemic and attachment-based approaches with trauma-informed and sex-positive perspectives to address issues like communication breakdown, infidelity, sexual concerns, and cultural stress. Theories I utilize include EFT and SBFT. My style is warm, direct, and action-oriented: we identify patterns, build communication skills, and practice changes that improve daily life and relationships. I prioritize cultural humility and tailor treatment to each person’s values and identity. I also provide supervision and consultation for clinicians. If you’re ready to repair connection, manage difficult emotions, or get unstuck in a relationship, I offer a free 15-minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing happens through connection, honesty, and curiosity. Change begins when we feel safe enough to explore what’s beneath our patterns—our fears, hopes, and unmet needs. I see therapy as a collaborative space where insight leads to action and relationships become more authentic and fulfilling. I believe everyone deserves care that honors their culture, values, and lived experience. There’s no single “right” way to heal, and progress often looks like learning to hold both compassion and accountability at once. I approach each client with respect for their story, trust in their capacity to grow, and a commitment to creating an environment where vulnerability is met with empathy—not judgment. Therapy, to me, is less about fixing and more about discovering the strength and meaning already within you.
