About My Clients

I work best with adults who feel stuck. Stuck reaching for substances, replaying old trauma, or going through the motions without really living. Many of my clients have tried to "just stop" or "think positive" and found it doesn't hold. They're not looking for someone to fix them or tell them what to do. They want to actually understand what's driving their patterns and build a life that feels like their own. If that sounds like you, we'll probably work well together.

My Background and Approach

I'm a licensed psychologist with a Ph.D. and over six years of daily clinical experience working with Veterans and first responders at the VA — one of the most demanding and meaningful clinical environments there is. Substance use and trauma are at the core of my work, not because they're interesting problems to solve, but because I've seen how much pain lives underneath them and how much is possible when people finally feel understood rather than judged. My approach is collaborative and grounded in the belief that most behaviors began as smart responses to pain. We don't start by trying to eliminate them. We start by getting curious about what they're doing for you. From there, we work together to build something better underneath. I offer virtual therapy across Florida and PSYPACT states. Florida clients can use Aetna insurance. Free 15-minute consultations available.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that most people who struggle with substances or trauma aren't weak. They're exhausted from carrying something heavy, often alone, often for a long time. The shame and stigma around addiction is one of the most counterproductive forces in mental health, and I've made it a core part of my work to approach these struggles without judgment. I also believe that therapy works best when it feels like a real relationship, not a performance, not a checklist. I bring my full self to the work: direct, warm, and genuinely invested in what happens to the people I work with. Outside the office, I'm committed to the wellbeing of Veterans, a population I've had the privilege of serving for years and one I carry a deep respect for. I believe everyone deserves access to quality mental health care, and I try to build a practice that reflects that through accessible pricing options, insurance acceptance, and meeting people where they are.
