About My Clients
In therapy, it's Nick's goal to help you identify specific emotions and experiences so that feeling joy from life doesn't seem daunting. Maybe you're craving vulnerability, but that also scares you. Maybe you know you're missing *something* but have no idea what. That's okay. Let's look at this through a compassionate lens and figure it out together.
My Background and Approach
Nick has a Master of Counseling Degree from Shippensburg University of PA, with an emphasis in college counseling. During this time, Nick obtained specific experience working with college students in counseling centers, and offering career counseling. Nick has a specific focus and background in working with trauma and survivors, having working at a domestic violence shelter in WV. Nick also worked as a crisis therapist in Baltimore County for 2 years, providing case management services and assistance for folks in severe need. Currently, Nick's focus is in Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Somatic awareness.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Nick provides competent and informed services for folks in the queer community, kink community, and in poly/CNM relationships. Nick also believes in the importance of spirituality, and welcomes religion and spiritual practice into the therapy office.
