Therapy is a collaborative experience. One where we will look together at all of the parts that make you who you are. How to make those parts work in a way that feels balanced and enduring. Finding strategies to open doors that will bring insight and awareness to long held difficulties you may have faced. I’ve worked in mental health in a variety of roles for close to 20 years. I’ve been trained in several therapies that I draw from and that assist me on individualizing therapy for each person that decides they want to do the therapeutic work with me. I’ve also had a wealth of life experiences that I draw from that help me to connect with people in a way that is grounded and genuine. I've practiced Zen for most of my adult life. This reflects in how I see the world and the work that I do. I have a strong ability to see systems and how they operate. This includes immediate family/work etc. systems as well as the country and world at large. This gives me insights into how our mental health is impacted as a result of oppression that is often baked into the systems, intentionally or otherwise. I've organized events to address houselessness and AIDs awareness. I've worked on global poverty initiatives. I am active in marches and protests and hold strong affiliation with any group who is working towards equity.
