The adolescent years are challenging, confusing, and often complicated as teens endeavor to answer the question, “who am I?” I aim to empower, support, and guide teens, by earning the right to be heard which comes through providing a safe space to meet teens where they are at, listening to their interests and perspectives, while communicating acceptance.
Anxiety is a natural response to perceived danger or important events. It's an internal alarm system that alerts us to pay attention. I help clients build tolerance to life's uncertainties by understanding the four main components of anxiety symptoms: physiological responses, thoughts, emotions, and behaviors or outcomes. I'll help you understand how our brain and body work, normalize the experience, and externalize the anxiety, so you can pivot to keep doing life when anxiety shows up.
