About My Clients
Life can feel overwhelming when anxiety, trauma, or intrusive thoughts make it hard to feel steady. You might be navigating family expectations, identity changes, or uncertainty about what’s next. Whether you’re coping with OCD, recovering from trauma, or managing daily anxiety, you deserve support. Together, we’ll build understanding, coping skills, and self-compassion so you can feel more grounded.
My Background and Approach
I’m a trauma-informed therapist who helps adults, college students, and teens navigate anxiety, OCD, depression, and the lingering effects of trauma. My approach is collaborative, culturally responsive, and centered on safety and trust. I draw from evidence-based therapies including CBT, DBT, CPT for trauma, and ERP for OCD and phobias, while currently training in EMDR. In our first sessions, we’ll clarify what “feeling better” means for you and set achievable goals using the SMART framework. Together, we’ll balance reflection and skill-building—some sessions may focus on exploring emotions or family patterns, while others emphasize practical tools for coping, grounding, and emotional regulation. I check in regularly through open dialogue and brief assessments to track progress. My goal is for therapy to feel supportive, empowering, and rooted in lasting growth.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing begins with safety, trust, and compassion. My role is to create a space where you can explore your story without judgment and reconnect with your inner resilience. Having grown up in foster care and within a family shaped by intergenerational trauma and complex dynamics, I understand how family systems, culture, and institutional barriers can profoundly affect mental health. As a second-generation Asian American and first-generation college graduate, I believe access to care and systemic context are essential to healing. I also recognize that in many cultures, healing isn’t only about individuality—it can also mean restoring connection. While setting boundaries may be necessary for some, others may find healing through balancing personal needs with family and community care. I strive to honor these differences in therapy, helping clients find a path that reflects both their values and their lived realities.
