About My Clients
I work with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, self-criticism/self-esteem, trauma, family-of-origin issues, relationship, marital, or family difficulties, and women’s wellness related to peri- and post-partum mental health. In therapy, we will work toward symptom management and relief, but also toward a life filled with greater purpose, meaning, and contentment. We can work together to find the best treatment and solution specific to you.
My Background and Approach
I work from a relational interpersonal process (IPT) approach, integrated with self-compassion and intersectional multicultural theories. I also specialize in positive psychology approaches, which can be used to help you to strive toward well-being. I frequently draw from mindfulness-based approaches (i.e. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindful Self-Compassion, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), relational and emotion-focused modalities (i.e., Feminist Relational Cultural Theory, Interpersonal Psychotherapy). As a culturally sensitive, trauma-informed, and LGBTQIAP+ affirming therapist, I seek to build a genuine relationship with each of my clients and will tailor therapy to your specific needs, I understand that therapy can be an incredibly difficult process, and I aim to hold space for each of my clients to feel seen, empowered, and understood.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My passion lies in developing a solution-focused, goal-oriented holistic, culturally sensitive, mind-body approach to wellness. My therapeutic style centers around the idea that everyone deserves to feel empowered and heard. I aim to provide a supportive, non-judgmental environment to promote sharing and collaboration to help individuals make positive life and behavioral changes. The focus will always be on growth and change!
