About My Clients
I specialize in working with individuals and couples who are motivated to increase emotional safety, rebuild trust, navigate life transitions (including dating coaching, premarital counseling, break ups and divorces), develop open communication, and rebuild emotional and sexual intimacy.
My Background and Approach
I have a Bachelors degree in Human Development and Family Sciences with a Specialization in Family and Personal Relationships from The University of Texas Austin. I also have a Masters of Science in Human Development and Family Studies with a Specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy from Colorado State University. Our work will be informed by general systems theory, the Gottman Method, and I am extremely strength-based and solution-focused. This means, while working with me, I believe you are the expert on you so we will focus on what has been working and building on what works best for the way you see and experience the world.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I acknowledge the value behind feeling deeply understood by someone who can acknowledge parts of the cultural constructs embedded in who you are. I hope to create a space for you that allows you to be open, vulnerable and seen. I aspire to advance racial equity within mental health spaces and entered this field to continue conversations around the stigma and shame that may surround people of color seeking therapeutic services.
