About My Clients
I work with individuals who feel like they’ve been living a version of themselves shaped by expectations, culture, or past experiences, and are now ready to discover who they truly are. Many of my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, or emotional patterns they don’t fully understand. Others are navigating the impact of intergenerational trauma, relationship challenges, or the pressure of balancing cultural identities.
My Background and Approach
I have a masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and at the heart of my work is helping you understand yourself more deeply and authentically. I integrate trauma-informed care, cognitive-behavioral techniques, and play-based approaches (when working with children). I also incorporate spirituality or faith-based perspectives when it aligns with your values, helping you connect to a deeper sense of purpose and inner clarity. I also work with parents who feel stuck in cycles of miscommunication and differing parenting styles. Together, we explore how your individual experiences, cultural values, and family-of-origin patterns show up in your relationship and parenting.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Before becoming a counselor, I spent 22 years in the Information Technology field. While that chapter of my life was meaningful, I felt a strong pull toward work that aligned more deeply with my purpose. That journey of stepping into authenticity is something I now help my clients navigate in their own lives. I am multilingual and offer sessions in English, Hindi, Urdu, and Punjabi. Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy dancing, music, traveling, journaling, and spending time with my husband and our two children. Our dog brings daily joy to our home, and I enjoy spending time outdoors connecting with nature.
