About My Clients
Do you feel anxious, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself? Maybe you’re exhausted from trying to be perfect, struggling with body image, carrying the effects of past trauma, or feeling stuck in painful relationship patterns. You may know something needs to change but aren’t sure what you need or how to ask for it. I help people understand themselves, work through difficult emotions, and build healthier relationships and boundaries.
My Background and Approach
My approach is compassionate but direct. I'll help you understand yourself without judgment while also challenging you to take meaningful action. My foundation is existential therapy, which helps us explore what you truly value, what you fear, and how you can live more authentically. I integrate person-centered, emotionally focused, feminist, CBT, and DBT approaches to turn that deeper understanding into practical change. Before becoming a counselor, I spent years as a nutritionist and then as a certified life coach working with athletes on eating disorders, performance pressure, perfectionism, and burnout.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Many of us lack the ability to identify how we are truly feeling most of the time. And if we do know how we feel, we often tell ourselves not to feel it because it could be hurtful to someone else or it's just plain bad to feel that way. This is what I believe causes so much of our anxiety, depression, and relationship difficulties. Because when you don't know how you feel or what you need, it's really difficult to have a fulfilling relationship. I have suffered from anxiety and depression since I was a child. In the past, it has affected my relationships, my confidence in my work, my health, and my ability to enjoy my favorite hobby: rock climbing. I have done deep explorations through therapy and counseling education into my own emotions, past traumas, and communication patterns and have made lasting changes that have made me the happiest I have ever been. I do best with concrete tools and insight that help me outside of the therapy room, and that is exactly what I want to offer you.
