About My Clients
I support individuals who are seeking to navigate adult friendships, develop healthy coping skills, boost their self-esteem and self-confidence, reaffirm their boundaries, enhance their communication styles in their relationships, express their anger, and to cope with life transitions and other stressors. I have experience with couples, adults, and children with a variety of presenting concerns including substance abuse, domestic abuse, anxiety-related concerns, trauma, neglect, & mood disorders
My Background and Approach
I have a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology from Pennsylvania State University as well as a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. I speak Farsi as a second language and am able to provide therapy to clients of Iranian descent. I am open to working with clients of all ages and backgrounds as well as families, children, and couples regardless of their gender, orientation, race, ethnicity, or relationship status. I subscribe to the Adlerian view that individuals are socially-driven, creative, capable, responsible, and unique creatures who can be encouraged to make positive, significant, and profound changes in the lives of both themselves as well as the lives of the people around them. I look forward to helping clients assign new, more optimistic meanings to turbulent and chaotic life events, which allows them to see them in a different light and from another angle.
